WAXINGPrep: Your hair should be at least the length of a grain of rice or a sprinkle. If it’s shorter, the wax may not be able to grip the hair effectively, which could lead to incomplete removal. It's preferable to have your hair slightly longer rather than too short. If you're uncertain about the length, it's advisable to avoid trimming. Refrain from exfoliating the skin 2-3 days before your waxing appointment, regardless of the body area being treated. Avoid using body oils, lotions, and deodorants on the day of your appointment. Keep your skin moisturized to prevent hair breakage and the occurrence of ingrown hairs. Discontinue the use of retinol or retinoids, blood thinners and numbing creams at least a week prior to your appointment. Avoid medications like Accutane that can affect skin sensitivity for at least a month before waxing. Avoid sunburned skin for your appointment, as sunburn can make your skin more sensitive and prone to irritation Aftercare: Full body waxing generally needs to be done every 4 weeks, the frequency may vary depending on the specific area and your previous hair removal. Consistency in waxing sessions is crucial for achieving the best results. To prevent ingrown hairs, exfoliate your skin 2-3 times a week. However, wait 2-3 days after your service before you begin exfoliating. For 24 hours after your waxing appointment, steer clear of activities that may cause friction, wear tight clothing, engage in sweating, and visit pools, saunas, or tanning beds. Additionally, try to avoid intense workouts. The waxed area may be sensitive and/or tender, so it's essential to prevent any irritation. Other important information: It’s completely acceptable to get waxed during your menstrual cycle. You might experience slight increased sensitivity, but taking a pain reliever can help alleviate any discomfort. Waxing is generally safe throughout pregnancy, no matter what stage you’re in.

SPRAY TANPrep: Prior to your tan, exfoliate your skin the day before, making sure to include any hair removal. Arrive to your appointment with clean skin. If needed, take a shower using only water to ensure there’s no lotions, perfumes, oils or deodorants, as this can lead to uneven development of the tan. Opt for loose-fitting clothing. Its best to wear/bring a dark loose outfit. Any solution that may get on your clothes/sheets will wash out. Aftercare: Refrain from water and skin-to-skin contact until it’s time for your instructed shower. Shower at planned time, use cool water to rinse and always pat dry- do not rub when exiting the shower. Apply lotion daily to promote hydrated skin and to preserve the DHA (tanning agent). Anticipate your tan to last 7-12 days. During this time, avoid waxing, shaving, excessive sweating, hot showers/baths and exposure to salt water to preserve the longevity of your custom spray tan.
